Noida Airport: 2,600 workers and 400 machines on site to ensure the project is completed on time, according to top officials.

According to officials, the construction of the first phase of the Noida International Airport is progressing smoothly with over 2,600 workers and more than 400 machines currently present at the site. The airport is being developed by Yamuna International Airport Private Limited (YIAPL), which is a subsidiary of Zurich Airport International AG.
The Noida International Airport, also known as the Jewar Airport, is a Greenfield airport that is being developed at Jewar in Gautam Buddh Nagar, which is approximately 75 kilometers away from Delhi. The airport is expected to be a major boost to the infrastructure and economy of the region, and it is being built with state-of-the-art technology and facilities to ensure passenger comfort and safety.
The project has been in the works for several years, and the first phase of construction is expected to be completed within the designated timeline. Once completed, the airport is expected to serve as a major aviation hub for the region, and it is expected to cater to both domestic and international flights.
“The development of the airport is making significant headway and is on track for timely completion,” Schnellmann told reporters.
The Noida International Airport is being developed in four phases and is set to become the largest airport in India. The project spans over an area of 5,000 hectares.
The Chief Operating Officer, Kiran Jain, stated that the first phase will occupy an area of over 1,300 hectares and is expected to be completed by the end of next year.
Upon completion of the first phase, the airport will have a 3,900-meter-long runway and a terminal building that can handle up to 1.2 crore passengers annually.
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has reported that over 2,600 workers and 400 machines are currently working at the airport site, and the peak strength is expected to reach 6,000. The agency also stated that over 42 lakh man-hours of work have been completed without any injury. The construction has used 32,000 cubic meters of concrete and 14,000 tons of steel so far, according to the NIA statement. Source?
