• Surgery (LASIK): Some students choose laser surgery to permanently correct vision. Many airlines accept candidates after 6 to 12 months of recovery, provided there are no complications.

• Practice with lenses: If you’re new to contact lenses start wearing them early so you’re comfortable by the time of the interview.
• Check your prescription: Make sure your vision is within the acceptable range (+/- 3.5D for most airlines).
• Take care of eye health: Sleep well, avoid strain & keep your eyes hydrated if you use lenses often.
• Ask about rules: During interviews, you can politely ask the airline about their exact policy on glasses & lenses.

Myths About Spectacles in Cabin Crew Jobs

Many students believe that wearing glasses automatically disqualifies them. This is not true. Airlines only want to ensure you have clear, corrected vision. Whether through lenses or surgery, as long as your eyesight is fine, you can still fly high in this career.
