With a compound annual growth rate of 18% and 464 airport and airstrips in the country managed to close 78% of domestic passenger traffic and 22% of International Passenger traffic.

We have our own aircraft hangar and aircraft which is LearJet 24 B. The training on campus is provided on this aircrafts so that students can enhance their inhouse practical skills.
Indira IAE has All the Latest Aircraft Engines like Boeing 747 Turbo Jet Engine, Turbo Prop Engine, Turbo Shaft Engine, and MIG 21 Engine. Institute Prefers Practical oriented Teaching to the students to get maximum exposure.
The Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) plays a vital role in the field of Aviation; rather one can say that he/she is an important and inexpensive link between the flier and a flying machine. He is the one who assures the safety of the flier and his flying machine. The maintenance of modern sophisticated aircrafts calls for a high degree of technical knowledge, competence, proficiency & integrity on the part of the concerned personnel. Tremendous responsibility lies upon the Aircraft Maintenance Engineers who are certifying the aircrafts.

This includes troubleshooting with jet engine procedures and major maintenance along with airplane repair according to the manuals provided by aircraft manufacturers
B2 is known as avionics in AME. B2 license is to certify airworthiness of the electronics and electrical system of an aircraft.
This is an Undergraduate degree program integrated with Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Course (B1.1 & B2) as per UGC guidelines. The course is affiliated under ordinance 125 of Savitribai Phule Pune University.
It is the combined course of AME B1.1 and B Sc (Aviation). AME is approved by DGCA, Ministry of Civil Aviation, Govt. of India and BSc (Aviation) is approved by Savitribai Phule Pune University. Both the course runs in parallel and the syllabus also remains 80% the same. The students can apply for UPSC, MPSC, Airlines, MRO and other posts where AME can’t apply. Specializations: After completion of B.Sc. Aviation undergraduate course one can opt for higher studies like M.Sc. in Aviation or Ph.D. in Aviation

Institute provides separate hostel facilities for boys and girls with mess facilities. Hostel accommodation is provided on the basis of “First Come First Serve”. AAR INDAMER is a joint venture between AAR, a major MRO of USA and INDAMER (the oldest MRO in India). AAR INDAMER is approved by The Director General of Civil Aviation under Civil Aviation Requirements (CAR 145) and The Federal Aviation Administration under Federal Aviation Regulation Part 145.
The MRO facility conforms to International standards and is spread over 120,000 sq.m.

Technical projects of BSC aviation made by students in group in final year and are further selected for inter college & national level competitions. Also funding upto 50000/- is provided by the college.
The active training and placement cell of IIAE serves as an interface between the students and the Aviation Industry. Apart from bringing various organizations to the campus, the placement cell also organizes talks, personality Development Program, Resume Building, Soft Skill and Organizational Behavioral skills, internship opportunities and workshops for the collective student body, etc.
