He is the one who assures the safety of the flier and his flying machine. The maintenance of modern sophisticated aircrafts calls for a high degree of technical knowledge, competence, proficiency & integrity on the part of the concerned personnel. B2 is known as avionics in AME. B2 license is to certify airworthiness of the electronics and electrical system of an aircraft.
- B.Sc. Aviation
This is an Undergraduate degree program integrated with Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Course (B1.1 & B2) as per UGC guidelines. The course is affiliated under ordinance 125 of Savitribai Phule Pune University.
- Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) - B1.1 (Aeroplane Turbine- Mechanical) with B.Sc. Aviation
It is the combined course of AME B1.1 and B Sc (Aviation). AME is approved by DGCA, Ministry of Civil Aviation, Govt. of India and BSc (Aviation) is approved by Savitribai Phule Pune University. Both the course runs in parallel and the syllabus also remains 80% the same. The students can apply for UPSC, MPSC, Airlines, MRO and other posts where AME can’t apply. The students can also pursue higher education like M.Sc. Aviation, Ph.D. Aviation, or MBA Aviation. V. Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) - B2

Duration of the courses
- AME B1.1: Duration of the course is 3 years, which comprises 6 semester, duration of each semester is 6 Months
- AME B2: Duration of the course is 3 years, which comprises 6 semester, duration of each semester is 6 Months
- B.Sc. Aviation: As per National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 the duration of Undergraduate courses are 3 or 4 years. 3 years duration course will get regular degree and 4 years duration course will get honours degree.
Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates shall have passed minimum 10+2 class with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
- DTE approved diploma in Mechanical/ Electrical / Electronics/ Aeronautical Engineering.
- Physical fitness and Colour vision Certificates are mandatory as format prescribed in the college prospectus.
