The age restriction for studying an LLB degree varies based on the country and institution. For India, the Bar Council of India (BCI) had earlier fixed an age bar at 30 years for the 3-year LLB program and 20 years for the 5-year integrated LLB. That directive has been challenged, and most universities do not have any strict age requirement now. There are a number of institutions, such as private and public universities, where students are admitted at any age, provided they are academically eligible.
In the UK, USA, and Canada, there is no age bar to study law. Most students study an LLB later in life as a second career choice. Law schools usually give preference to academic achievement and entrance examination marks rather than age. So, even if you want to do an LLB, it is always better to review the individual university or country-specific requirements for admissions. Even when there is a requirement of an age limit, there can still be other studies in law that can be done.
