The Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) is an integrated professional degree that lasts for four years and is meant for future elementary school teachers. Though there is no common age criteria for admission, all universities and institutions have a minimum age limit of 17 years and maximum age limit of approximately 21–23 years as of application date. Nevertheless, some universities might provide relaxation for reserved classes (SC/ST/OBC) and differently abled students as per government guidelines.
Eligibility conditions, such as age restrictions, are usually defined by the respective university or authorities that hold the entrance exam. For example, universities like Delhi University traditionally impose an upper age restriction, whereas private colleges can have more lenient policies. Hence, it is always best to refer to the official admission policy of the individual university. Also, the candidates should have pursued their 10+2 degree with the minimum percentage required to be eligible for admission so that they should also fulfill the age and educational qualifications.
