Most of the institutions usually have a requirement of a candidate's age of being at least 17 years at the time of admission for BSc HM. Usually, there is no rigid upper limit on the age; the courses are accessible to anyone in terms of age as people seek their second careers or education in hospitality management. However, the regulations might also vary in some specific countries based on the policies of particular universities or governments.
Such distinctions might also depend on age for students who are studying BSc HM in India. Under the previous regulations, NCHMCT had specified an upper limit for age 25 years for people with general categories and 28 years for reserved categories. Some institutions are absolutely not limiting the age of students. In other countries like USA, UK and Australia, the age limit does not exist for universities and concentrates mainly on academic qualification and proficiency in English for entry. Check with guidelines of specific universities before application.
