Ques: Can I pursue BSc Nursing without Biology in 12th?

BSc Nursing is a professional course that requires a strong foundation in biological sciences. Most universities and nursing colleges in India and abroad mandate that candidates must have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) in their 12th grade. Biology is crucial because nursing involves human anatomy, physiology, and microbiology, which require prior biological knowledge. Without Biology in 12th, you will not meet the eligibility criteria for most nursing programs.

However, if one hasn't pursued the subject Biology in 12th but would still like to be a part of the healthcare domain, alternative choices could include a BSc in Health Sciences, Paramedical courses, or diploma in nursing. It could have some varied eligibility requirements, and such courses are hard to find privately; bridge courses aren't much offered. Specific eligibility criteria could differ for various universities or nursing councils.
