The university admission in BSc in Hotel Management (BSc HM) varies. Even though many top institutes, like IHM under NCHMCT, require candidates to qualify for the NCHM JEE (National Council for Hotel Management Joint Entrance Examination), which checks students in English, reasoning, general knowledge, and aptitude for service sector, other universities might conduct their entrance tests or may depend on CUET, IPU CET, or state level hotel management entrance tests.
However, there are some private colleges and universities who offer direct admission based on marks in 12th grade. In fact, most of them have a minimum eligibility criterion of passing 10+2 with 50% and interview or group discussion is held, and some even see extracurricular achievements. However, for all government or top-ranking private institutes, an entrance exam could be required, so it is better to find the offical process beforehand.
