Generally, eligibility to join the Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Technology program has requirements in relation to having at least a completion of 10+2 qualification with an interest in science and with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Additionally, candidates will be allowed through certain institutes which include study towards Mathematics. Additionally, most qualifications demand that such a candidate is successful with not less than a percentage of 50% to 60%. However, all these may also depend on some institution requirements.
Apart from any educational qualification, a candidate has to be within the age bracket of 17 to 25 years of age. Certain institutions may hold entrance exams and interviews to check on the aptitude level of the candidate suited for the course. A very good knowledge in science subjects and the ability to work within a laboratory setting are requirements. Upon successful completion of the BMLT program, the student can enter careers in medical laboratories, diagnostic centers, and hospitals or proceed for higher studies in related fields.
