BSc MLS Medical Laboratory Sciences: This is a very comprehensive course for students with an interest in diagnostic healthcare. The core subjects include clinical microbiology-the pathogen and infections, immunology-an understanding of the body's immune system and the responses initiated towards diseases, hematology-blood disorders and their possible identification through biochemical processes, and biochemistry-essential biochemical processes involved in disease identification. Pathology refers to the nature and causes of diseases, and Medical Laboratory Technology provides practical skills in lab equipment and diagnostic procedures.
In addition to these, students study Clinical Chemistry, Molecular Biology, and Laboratory Management.
