In a bid to pursue a BSc Biotechnology degree, applicants must fulfill specific admission requirements which include completion of higher secondary schooling, or 12th grade, in Biochemistry Physics. As a prerequisite, the applicant must hold a certain percentage score (which changes by the university). The subsequent step involves completing the application form, which can be both online and offline depending on the preference of the university in question. Several universities and colleges require students to complete forms backed with additional documents like mark sheets, proof of identity, and passport size photographs.
There are two routes for the admission process for BSc Biotechnology; either the merit based route or the entrance examination route. While picking students using the merit based route, marks scored in grade 12 or a combination of all grades from useful subjects is taken into consideration. In the exam based admission system, the normal procedure is that every university or institute has exams that bench–test the students in Biology Chemistry and Physics and further subjects. Selected students will then be called in for a counseling or interview session and they will be notified beforehand. Meets criteria set out in the exam, eligibility and space allotted. Exact instructions and dates given by each university should be thoroughly read as they are important.
