BCom NEP is associated with the Bachelor of Commerce degree under the NEP 2020 framework. This new curriculum is in line with the changes made by Indian government which introduces multidisciplinary education, flexible duration of courses, multiple exit options, and learning through skills. Under NEP, BCom is revised as a four year undergraduate program where students can exit and receive a certificate after first year, diploma after second year, and a traditional BCom degree after third year. Students interested in pursuing are able to complete a fourth year Honors program which is research based.
BCom NEP ensures higher order thinking through incorporation of practical skills and subjects such as fintech, business analytics, and digital marketing along with required commerce internship to improve chances of getting a job. Because it covers minors from other disciplines, it promotes Interdisciplinary learning. With an emphasis on active learning and NEP standards, BCom students are expected to form strong links between transformative education and industry for a multitude of career opportunities in finance, business, and entrepreneurship while being able to provide holistic and sustainable education.
