B.Tech is an undergraduate four-year course for a student. This course focuses on providing specialized knowledge and technical skills in a range of engineering disciplines. Usually, the total number of semesters is eight and each year contains two semesters. Students cover a full-fledged curriculum involving theoretical lectures as well as practical laboratory sessions. The entire study period includes various subjects under their chosen engineering branch.
Besides core technical subjects, a B.Tech program also carries opportunities for students to do an internship, working on projects or research, for the application of learning in a real-world situation. After attaining all those courses and respective examinations, B.Tech passes out the certificate. Some institutions may have extended courses with further academic tracks and industry collaborations while the standard B.Tech degree is four years long. The degree opens up various career opportunities in engineering, technology, research, and development sectors across the globe.
