In the second year of BJMC, a student is deepened into journalism, both in practice and in theory. These include broadcast journalism, where one learns the art of reporting and producing news on television and radio. Media law is also another area that entails legal issues bordering media operations, ensuring a student understands what rights and regulations govern journalism.
This would include learning about the basics of news reporting and editing, allowing them to effectively write and present their stories. Photography and visual storytelling become a significant part of the learning process, where there is a great understanding of how to capture those newsworthy moments. Important parts also include radio and television production, through which students would have hands-on experience in content creation for those mediums. Communication research methods are last introduced to equip the students to assess and analyze the trends in media and the audience's behavior systematically.
